Henry Kissinger says US cannot win in Iraq
Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger -- who served during the Vietnam War under Presidents Nixon and Ford -- said Sunday in an interview with the BBC that he did not believe it was realistic for the US to win a victory in Iraq. "If you mean by clear military victory an Iraqi government that can be established and whose writ runs across the whole country, that gets the civil war under control and sectarian violence under control ... I don't believe that is possible," he said ...
Michael McCafferty says: I respect and admire Henry Kissinger -- and the White House should listen to this great statesman.

Lack of Intelligence was the big factor going into Iraq.
Dubya just wanted to do in Saddam...and gave little or no thought to the rest of the country, or region.
When USA found out they had been dupped with the weapons of mass destruction bullshit....He ran out of support domestically, just as he had run out of supprot Internationally.
Now, he has to get out....and is trying to find a way to make it look like he isn't hauling ass , there is no believeable way out without admitting he screwed up....big time
