I have never been satisfied with the answers I got, as a teen ager...as to why there were USA (and others Austrailia...)troops in Viet Nam. Later...everyone seems to agree that USA was propping up a corrupt, and inept government...a puppet government...but by thunder...it wasn't a COMMUNIST government.
I still shake my head. The reason for Viet Nam...was not in Viet Nam...it was in North America...where billions were made in the sales of arms.
Now Iraq....again, no satisfactory answer as to why there are USA troops(and others)in Iraq.
I don't see any big oil companies in Iraq...they are in USA, and I have yet to hear any better reason as to why they are in Iraq..than the fact that there is approximately 25 per cent of the known oil reserves, underneath Iraq.
If any of the other reasons the Whitehouse has given for the invasion were close to the truth...there would be USA troops in North Korea as well. Rogue dictator, country needs democracy...weapons of mass destruction...funding of terrorists..or even providing a safe haven for them...
I agree with the tone of Buchanan's letter...and I seldom agree with Buchanan.

YUP....IRAK is a mess.Personally I think Americas bigest enemies are within America...the Dems and pro-Democrat media have been telling the world how terrible America is....willing to sell out America's prestige in hopes of taking back control of the White House.
PB didn't offer any solutions in his statement.
Yup,Iran is a disaster in waiting.
I agree with your assessment of Billy Graham: Billy Graham is truly one of the greatest Christians who has ever lived.
