Reverent Jerry Falwell is dead.

Television Evangelist Falwell Dies at 73

By SUE LINDSEYThe Associated PressTuesday, May 15, 2007; 3:00 PM

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell, the television evangelist who founded the Moral Majority and used it to mold the religious right into a political force, died Tuesday shortly after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University. He was 73.

Jerry Falwell was truly a good and decent man. A true Christian leader. In 1988 at a lunch in Washington DC I had the honor to meet Jerry Falwell and have my photograph taken with him.

Today is a sad day for me because Christians have lost a good man but I know he has gone to Heaven to be with the Lord. Jerry Falwell truly loved Jesus.

Tony Blair to step down as Britain's Prime Minister

British Prime Minister Tony Blair announced today that he will resign as leader of the Labour Party on June 27, after more than a decade in power.

Tony Blair has served Britain with honor and integrity. He is truly a great prime minister and I admire Tony Blair very much -- he will now become a great world statesman.

Nicolas Sarkozy is elected President of France

PARIS, May 6 -- Nicolas Sarkozy, the combative son of a Hungarian immigrant, was elected president of France on Sunday, promising a new generation of leadership to transform the country, restore its self-respect and reinvigorate ties with the United States and Europe.

It truly is wonderful news that the 'conservative' Nicolas Sarkozy has been given a mandate by the voters of France. I believe president-elect Sarkozy will be an outstanding and remarkable President for France.

Thank you St. Jude for the miracle !

Queen Elizabeth visits the USA

Queen Elizabeth is on an Official Visit to the United States. The highlight of her visit is to the State of Virginia to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Virginia.
50 years ago the Queen made her first visit as Queen to the USA.

I very much admire Her Majesty. At 81 years of age she is a source of inspiration and represents noble ideals.

God bless the Queen.
